NEXt gen Ministry
At Renew Church LA, we believe the next generation matters deeply to God and is an essential part of the Church today, not just tomorrow. Renew Next Gen exists to partner with parents to nurture and build Christ-centered families that live out the gospel at home and in the world. We want to come alongside your family to see an authentic love for God, His Church, and His mission at the center of your home, both now and in the future. Kids + Youth programming are available during the 9:30am service.

Nursery and Pre-K
Nursery (6 months - 2 years)
Pre-K Class (2 years - 5 years)
Our Nursery (6–24 mo.) and Pre-K (2–5 yr.) environments provide a safe, nurturing, & Christ-centered space where our youngest Renew members are cared for by a warm & dedicated team. Using the Amazing Life & Hello Baby curriculum, children are introduced to the life of Jesus through Bible stories, age-appropriate play, crafts, & joyful worship. Our hope is that this space feels like an extension of both their home & preschool classroom—filled with love, learning, & worship.

Renew Kids (Kindergarten - Third Grade)
Pre-Middle (4th and 5th Grade)
Renew Kids is a fun, safe, and high-energy environment where children can learn about God in ways they understand and love. Through engaging Bible stories, music, games, and hands-on activities, kids discover who God is and how much He loves them. Our amazing team of leaders creates a welcoming space where every child feels known, valued, and excited to come back each week. At Renew Kids, we’re not just having fun—we’re helping the next generation build a strong foundation of faith that will last a lifetime.
Renew Youth
6th grade to 12th grade
9:30am in the Chapel Lounge
Renew Youth is for our middle school and high school students. In this environment we keep things as relational and fun as possible. We play games, chat over snacks, hear a Bible based message and then break into age and gender specific small groups for discussion and application. We have wonderful and trained adult team members who lead our small groups with kindness, making everyone feel welcome and seen.
renew college
Renew Kids (Kindergarten - Third Grade)
Pre-Middle (4th and 5th Grade)
College students have long been a vibrant part of our community, with students from campuses across LA—including UCLA, Pepperdine, LMU, SMC, WLAC, and USC—calling Renew their church home. Renew College gathers every other week during the school year after second service in The Lounge for food, a brief biblical encouragement, and gender-specific discipleship groups. No registration is needed—just come and be part of the community.

All families check in at the chapel at 14th and Arizona using the check-in machine for children from the Nursery through 5th grade. Middle school and high school students do not check in and instead go directly upstairs to the sanctuary for worship. New families will be asked to complete a “New Family Form,” after which a team member will enter their information so they can check in using their phone number and print tickets for their child(ren).

Our middle and high school students start in the sanctuary where they participate in the musical worship portion of the main service. The last two rows of the left section of the sanctuary are reserved for Renew Youth. Signs are placed on the seats to designate that this area is for Renew Youth. Once musical worship is over, the students are escorted out of the sanctuary and over to The Lounge which is across the green turf in the building directly across from the main sanctuary building. The bulk of our Renew Youth service takes place there and you can pick up your child from The Lounge after the main service is over.

Your child’s safety is our first priority. Before serving, all of our team members complete a background check and meet with both a pastor and the Kids Ministry Director. At Sunday morning check-in, parents receive a sticker placed on their child’s back and a matching pickup receipt. At pickup, the receipt must be presented, and our volunteers confirm that the numbers match before releasing the child. Both Nursery and Pre-K classrooms are staffed with at least two volunteers. Our ratios are two teachers to six children in Nursery and two teachers to twelve children in Pre-K, helping ensure a safe and caring environment for every child.
-
After check-in, kids say goodbye to parents and join their age specific community at Renew. Each Sunday begins with open play, games, art, and fun activities before gathering as a whole group. From there, kids will worship, learn and demonstrate knowledge of monthly focus points such as Bible verse, prayer, Biblical values, and will dive into games and activities based on the lesson of the day.
Through Amazing +, our interactive curriculum, kids explore biblical topics using creativity, art, and discussion. After the lesson, children break into age-level small groups to talk about what they learned and complete their activities. Sundays end with prayer, clean-up, and free time until parents arrive.

Children ages nursery to 5th grade all use an interactive, dynamic Christ based curriculum called Amazing+. To learn more about the curriculum, [click here].

Renew Church LA uses two buildings for Kids’ Church. After checking in at the chapel on the corner of 14th and Arizona, parents take their child to their designated classroom and return there for pickup after the service.
In the main building (west on Arizona), you’ll find Nursery (6 months–2 years), Preschool (2 years–preschool age), and Pre-Middle (4th–5th grade). The Preschool classroom is the first room on the left, the Nursery is across the hall on the right, and the Pre-Middle classroom is at the end of the hall on the left. The chapel building houses check-in, the Chapel (Kindergarten–3rd grade), and the Lounge where Renew Youth meets.

At Renew, we encourage parents and families to be actively involved by volunteering, sharing their gifts, and engaging with weekly at-home faith activity handouts to discuss and practice spiritual disciplines with their children. Students attending Renew Youth for the first time complete a guest form so we can keep families informed about events and activities. Families play a vital role in walking alongside their children on their faith journey and staying connected to the community.
