Renew Church LA is a gospel-centered, spirit-filled, multi-ethnic community that is passionately committed to following Jesus. We have a singular mission:
RENEW EXISTS TO MAKE DISCIPLES WHO ARE RENEWED BY THE GOSPEL AND BECOME GOSPEL RENEWAL TO THE CITY.
If you are new to Renew, one of the things you can expect is a genuine encounter with Jesus. We often hear people telling us, “At Renew, I feel the presence of Jesus!” This presence is not only felt in our worship but also in the love of our community. We major on love here at Renew. We truly accept you as you as you are, but love also means we call you to walk with us in the way of Jesus, become His disciple, and be transformed into all that Jesus wants you to be.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

Elders serve as spiritual leaders in the church, providing guidance, care, and oversight to help the body stay faithful to Jesus. They shepherd the congregation through teaching, prayer, and example, while protecting sound doctrine and equipping believers for ministry. Their role is not about control but about servant-leadership that models Christ.
At Renew, our six elders were nominated and approved by the membership, completed 10 months of training, were affirmed by the Board of Directors, and officially ordained by our board representative, Pastor Dave Polus. They will serve a provisional two-year term.
Board of Directors
The Renew Church LA Board of Directors are comprised of elders and non-elders and are the governing body accountable for the business operations and liabilities of the 501(c)3 organization of Renew Church LA. Accordingly, board members are responsible for: Finance and Compensation, Human Resources, Legal and Compliance and Architecture for the future.
